CARICOM, USAID hold third strategic partnership review

(CARICOM Secretariat, 9 November, 2023) – Officials of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat, and CARICOM Institutions engaged a high-level team from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Thursday, 9 November, at the CARICOM Headquarters in Georgetown, Guyana.

The hybrid meeting was the Third Annual Strategic Partnership Review between the CARICOM Secretariat and USAID seeking to identify synergies for collaboration on mutually beneficial initiatives. It was led by the CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr. Carla Barnett, and USAID Regional Representative for the Eastern and Southern Caribbean, Mervyn Farroe, who was joined by USAID Programme and Strategy Director, Stephanie Mikulasek, and USAID General Development Director, Steven Fondriest. Recently accredited USA Ambassador to Guyana, Her Excellency Nicole Theriot, attended the meeting.
