St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister attends candlelight vigil for Guyana’s fire victims

St Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister, Dr. Terrance Drew, attended a candlelight vigil organised by the Guyanese community there, to honour the lives of the students who died in the fire that engulfed Mahdia Secondary School’s female dormitory.

The horrific incident took the lives of 19 girls and one boy. According to the Prime Minister’s Facebook Page, Governor-General Dame Marcella Liburd GCMG, JP and Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, International Transport, Employment and Labour and Urban Development, Marsha Henderson, attended to also pay their respects and show support to the community.
