CXC® to Host 48th Annual IAEA Conference in Jamaica in September

(Caribbean Examinations Council Press Release) – The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC®) will host the International Association for Educational Assessment (IAEA) 48th Annual Conference at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica from 24 – 29 September 2023.

Under the theme, “Digitalising Assessments and Credentials”, the conference will focus on exploring ongoing and recent developments in educational assessment and provide delegates with an opportunity share their knowledge, philosophies, strategies, research and practices.

Sub themes will include:

New Practices in Large Scale Assessments;

Social and Emotional Issues in Learning and Assessment;

Emerging Ethical Practices and Dilemmas in Assessment;

Research and the Future of Digital Assessment;

Organisational Models for Digitalising Credentials and their Assessments;

Cyber Security, The Integrity of Assessment and Credentialing; and

Curriculum Reforms: Digital Transformations of Learning and Assessments.

The 48th Annual IAEA conference in collaboration with CXC®, will include inception workshops, keynote addresses, symposium, and open paper and poster presentations. The Conference Paper Review Committee welcomes submissions corresponding to one or more of the sub-themes. All submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Paper Review Committee considering their scientific quality and relevance within the conference theme. The deadline for submissions is 21 April 2023.
