Discussions held with American Caribbean Maritime Foundation
CARICOM Assistant Secretary-General, Mr. Joseph Cox, met recently with President of the American Caribbean Maritime Foundation (ACMF), Ms. Geneive Brown Metzger, at the CARICOM Secretariat, Georgetown, Guyana.
Mr. Cox, who leads the Economic Integration, Innovation and Development Directorate at the Secretariat, headed a team that included Director, Sectoral Programmes, Ambassador David Prendergast, and Deputy Programme Manager, Transportation, Dr. Pauline Yearwood.
The discussion on 24 February centred on training and education in the maritime sector, women in the sector, and forging strategic partnerships.
The discussion was held as the Community ramps up work on creating a more efficient transportation sector
