Celebrating 30 years of the CARICOM Youth Ambassador Programme: Get to know your CYAs!

The CARICOM Youth Ambassador Programme (launched in 1993) will mark its Thirtieth (30^th) Anniversary this year.  To celebrate, we will be highlighting the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors (CYAs) and their vision for positively transforming the Region.

ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

Esquire Henry

Esquire is an energetic and charismatic leader soaring out of the island of Antigua and Barbuda. He has patterned his life around three (3) basic principles integrity, accountability and compassion. These principles have been the foundation of his years of service in eradicating “period poverty”, combating Climate Change and providing youth development and empowerment opportunities. Esquire hopes that one day his contributions will mobilise youth to maximize their abilities and create meaningful opportunities and relationships despite their socioeconomic status.

GRENADA

Joshua Andall

Joshua is a youth leader driven by a passion for serving others and positively impacting young people’s lives. He believes youth have the power to change the world and is committed to empowering them to reach their ultimate potential, fully utilize their abilities and take charge of their destinies. Joshua values authenticity, integrity, and empathy and strives to create safe and supportive environments where young people can grow, learn, and thrive. Through his leadership and guidance, he hopes to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders that will positively impact their communities and beyond.

Jozel Normeka

Jozel is a youth leader passionate about service to others and driven by her love for advocacy and volunteerism. She has an inherent desire to motivate, empower and advocate for positive changes in issues affecting young people. She embraces and values honesty, integrity, respect, and compassion and is devoted to creating avenues where young people can thrive and achieve their dreams. With all her might, energy and strength, she endeavours to continue to provide adequate assistance to youth while encouraging them to reach their full potential.
