Restrictions ease in Trinidad and Tobago

(Office of the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago via Facebook) From Monday 4th April, 2022, all restrictions placed at safe zones in Trinidad and Tobago will be removed.

Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Keith Rowley made the announcement during a media conference held at the Diplomatic Centre, St Ann’s (Saturday 26th March, 2022).

Dr. Rowley said the following adjustments will be to the Public Regulations:- From Sunday 27th March, 2022, persons permitted to enter Trinidad and Tobago will be allowed to present a negative antigen test. All other requirements for the TT Travel pass will remain. Unvaccinated foreigners will still not be allowed entry.

From Monday 4th April, 2022: No limits on public gatherings. No restrictions at beaches/rivers. All schools will re-open in April. The Ministry of Education will host a media conference to outline the details next week.

The wearing of face masks/coverings in public spaces and on public transportation will remain mandatory. An updated list of the Public Health Regulations will be published by the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal Affairs.
