Seventh Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum Begins today

Prime Minister of Barbados, the Hon. Mia Mottley, will deliver the keynote address at the Seventh Caribbean Sustainable Energy Forum (CSEF) which opens on 22 November.

The Forum is one of the activities of CARICOM Energy Month being observed in November. It is an event of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), co‑organised by the Secretariat, Institutions and Member States of the Community. The Forum provides a platform for key national, regional and international stakeholders, from within the public and private sectors and civil society, to, among other things, take stock of the present state and realign their future outlook of the pursuit of the defined sustainable energy goals and targets at regional and national levels within CARICOM.

The opening begins at 3pm and will feature remarks by the Deputy Secretary-General of CARICOM, Dr. Armstrong Alexis; Ambassador of the European Union to Barbados, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and CARCOM, H.E. Malgorzata Wasilewska; High Commissioner of Canada to Barbados and CARICOM, H.E. Lilian Chatterjee; and Executive Director, Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, Dr. Gary Jackson.
