SCLAN Saddened by Death of Haiti President

“Today we extend sincere condolences and stand with First Lady Martine Moïse and the children during this very difficult time.”

(SCLAN Statement) The Spouses of the CARICOM Leaders Action Network (SCLAN) are indeed saddened by the sudden demise of President Jovenel Moïse who was assassinated in his home during the early hours of Wednesday 7 July 2021.

It is unfortunate that First Lady Martine Moïse was seriously injured during this incident. This news is truly disheartening as First Lady Martine Moïse is a member of the Network and had made significant contributions to the work of SCLAN since its inception.

Today we extend sincere condolences and stand with First Lady Martine Moïse and the children during this very difficult time. Our prayers and thoughts are with them.
