Saint Lucians vote in General Elections later this month

Saint Lucians will vote in General Elections on 26 July 2021.

Prime Minister Allen Chastanet announced the date in a national address on Monday night during which he also named 16 July as Nominations Day.

Prime Minister Chastanet will lead the ruling United Workers Party (UWP) into elections for the second time.  In the last elections in 2016 his UWP won 11 of the 17 seats at stake.

The main opposition Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP) will be led into the elections for the first time by former deputy Prime Minister Mr Phillip J. Pierre who takes over from former Prime Minister Dr Kenny Anthony.
