Herd immunity will help Region to move forward – PM Harris

CARICOM’s Lead Head of Government for Health wants the populace to heed the call to get vaccinated against COVID-19 so that the Region could achieve herd immunity.

In a message to mark the 19th Annual Vaccination Week in the Americas observed 24-30 April, Dr. Timothy Harris, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis emphasised the need to adhere to prevention protocols such as social distancing and handwashing. He also said achieving herd immunity through vaccination was the “trump card”.

He repeated the Community’s call for equitable access to vaccines.

Prime Minister Harris aid vaccination would boost the tourism sector and will place the Region on the path to sustainable and resilient recovery.
