US-based Guyanese rapper SAINt JHN wins two Grammys

(Stabroek News) United States-based Guyanese rapper SAINt JHN won two Grammy awards at last Sunday’s 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Born Carlos St. John Phillips, the singer was thrilled to learn that his song ‘Roses,’ which was originally released in 2016 and remixed by Kazakh musician Imanbek Zeikenov, cop a Grammy for Best Remixed Recording.

Another song, ‘Brown Skin Girl,’ a collaboration with Beyonce, her daughter Blue Ivy and Wizkid from “The Lion King: The Gift” soundtrack album, took home the Grammy for Best Music Video.
