St. Vincent and the Grenadines Minister calls for global ceasefire to reduce hunger caused by conflict

Minister of Agriculture of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Saboto Caesar, will lead the efforts of the Caribbean Community’s (CARICOM) agrifood sector to tackle the pandemic.

The Coordinator of the Parliamentary Front Against Hunger of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), Saboto Caesar, spoke at the open debate of the UN Security Council on Food Security.

In his presentation, he called for a global ceasefire to reduce hunger caused by conflict.

Caesar – who also serves as Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Rural Transformation, Industry and Labor – underscored the need for inclusive multilateral solutions to advance the Sustainable Development Agenda and achieve the goal of ending hunger by 2030.
