No current active cases in Trinidad and Tobago

The Ministry of Health, in its Thursday 21 May update, announced that there were no patients receiving treatment for COVID-19 in the public health system.

The last patient, who had been hospitalised for some time, was discharged on Thursday.

Trinidad and Tobago recorded a total of 116 positive cases from the 2,805 samples submitted for testing to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the UWI. Of that total 108 were discharged and eight died.

The country reported its first Covid-19 case on 12 March 2020.
