THIRTY-FIRST MEETING OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF

CARIBBEAN STATISTICIANS (SCCS), 6-8 NOVEMBER 2006

AND

FOURTEENTH MEETING OF THE REGIONAL CENSUS COORDINATING

COMMITTEE (RCCC), 9-10 NOVEMBER 2006

PORT OF SPAIN, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

 

(VENUE)

 

1.         The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretariat by Savingram No. 647/2006 dated 9 August 2006 informed Member States of the convening of the Thirty-First Meeting of the Standing Committee of Caribbean Statisticians (SCCS) and the Fourteenth Meeting of the Regional Census Coordinating Committee (RCCC) on 6 - 8 and 9 - 10 November 2006, respectively.  The Secretariat now wishes to confirm that the venue of the Meeting will be the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Port-of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

 

2.         Accommodation for delegations to the Meeting has been arranged at the Crowne Plaza at a rate of US$187.55 single occupancy and $205.70 double occupancy per night, inclusive of breakfast, taxes and internet.  Alternative accommodation has also been arranged at the Hilton Hotel at a rate of US$130 single occupancy and US$140 double occupancy inclusive of breakfast, exclusive of taxes and at the Courtyard by Marriott US$187.55 single and double occupancy, inclusive of breakfast and taxes. 

 

3. Member States are reminded to forward to the Secretariat, the name(s) and designation(s) of the members of their respective delegations no later than Friday, 6 October 2006.

 

4. Member States are also reminded to submit documents which they wish to present to the Meetings by 13 October 2006 for posting on the website identified below, for dissemination.  Information about the Thirty-First Meeting of the SCCS and the Fourteenth Meeting of the RCCC will be made available and updated on www.caricomstats.org on a continuing basis.
